How to Make a Quick and Easy Cobbler for a Devoured Dessert (any fruit)
You picked fresh berries, and of course, you ate a handful or two.. You could eat all of them or maybe you should make a cobbler. But that takes time…..right? No! Make this quick and easy cobbler in 5 minutes and you’ll be eating hot cobbler with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream.

We’ve been picking dewberries this spring and what better way to eat them is in a cobbler. This is a fast cobbler recipe….and will be quickly eaten straight from the oven.
What fruit can I use in the cobbler?
You can use any fruit you like. Make sure to have liquid with the fruit.
My kids come to me frequently and ask for a sweet treat.… which means a yummy baked dessert and cobbler is a fast dessert.

What’s the difference between pie crust and cobbler crust?
Pie crust is a bottom crust and sometimes a top crust. Cobbler has batter with a leavening agent and is mixed throughout the fruit after rising.
Quick and easy cobbler is very simple to make and you may use peaches, blackberries, dewberries, or anything you’d like.
And with all the berries we’re picking, cobbler is perfect. Hopefully, my young peach trees produce enough for a peach cobbler.

Cobbler Batter Recipe
- I mix the dry ingredients
- add the liquid
- spoon the fruit with liquid on top. This is my cobbler below.

What is the difference between a cobbler crumble and crisp?
A cobbler crumble has flour, butter, and sugar. A cobbler crisp has oats included. Either one sounds tasty.
What types of flour can I use?
I have used regular white flour and einkorn flour. Gluten-free flour may work, but you’ll have to tweak some of the flour and milk ratio. For more recipes with einkorn read about them here.
How do I make the fruit mixture or jam?
Add sugar to a bowl of fruit and it will make its juice. Also, you can put berries in a saucepan, with water, and sugar, and cook on medium heat. Mash the berries and cook out the water until you like the consistency. Make sure there’s enough liquid for the cobbler, or it will be dry.
Make this quick and easy cobbler and you’ll pick berries just for the cobbler….if you can get the berries in the cobbler without everyone devouring them on the way back to the house…..yes, that’s my kids!
